My Youtube Plans-Asians Rock!!!

I've been thinking and i think that i'm going to make videos like KassemG interviewing people around California about a certain topic. But i'm gonna interview people around my area. I think people will definitely have different ideas of a certain topic compared to the people in the U.S. Of course Asians are different from Americans. Example: Asians are bad at driving compared to other race. I'm not tryin to be racist, i'm Asian too OK so relax.
But we have to face the truth. We Asians suck at driving. But in return we are much better at Mathematics and some other things similar to that.

Ok i've kinda gone off topic as always. I wanna show you what also the outside world thinks about the same thing you (meaning mainly the Americans who thinks they are so great) thinks of a certain topic. Maybe we think differently about Justin Bieber, Music, Movies, Social Networking, or maybe even about any of you reading this.

But i can't really do this without a good quality camera. And thats what i dont have right now. I guess my parents are to cheap to get me one right now. I'm  still a KID so i don't have any money or a job to get a camera for myself. So maybe if you guys wanna donate to me click the thing where it says donate. But i'm pretty sure none of you are gonna do it. Why? Because maybe you don't have a job and thats why you are here reading my crappy blog. I hope my friends camera is gonna be enough to do this.

I'm gonna do this video interview with my friend Amin. He's gonna be the camera man and maybe he's going to be in some of the other videos. I'll name the channel MalayKid so if you're waiting for us (i don't know why u would) you could search for us too see when we are going to be up. Or maybe you could just check back to this blog later and see if I post a topic about it. I'm not really sure when it's gonna be up or even when we are gonna start recording. All i know is i have an idea and i wanna do it. I wanna share stuff with you guys. That's kinda my slogan i think. Sharing With You.

Thanks for reading. Please come back again to my blog ok.

Diaspora- THE NEXT FACEBOOK.

I'm a user of facebook. I tend to log on everyday if internet is available. Likely it's almost every single day since these days internet is available everywhere. I've used facebook for 3 years and it has done everything i want in a Social Network site. I've also used myspace. But how long was that? Just a year i think. And then i stopped. Myspace was boring, slow, and filled with spam. Thanks Mark Zuckerberg for creating facebook. But Earlier this year, Facebook was embroiled in controversy after it made significant privacy changes. Users didn’t like having more of their information public, so they revolted.

During the height of the crisis, four NYU students decided to create an open source alternative to Facebook called Diaspora. Their goal was to raise $10,000 for their summer project, but dramatic interest helped them raise over $100,000 through donations. Even Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg donated to the project. This 'new facebook' called Diaspora is going to have better privacy,  set up their own personal servers, called seeds, create their own hubs and fully control the information they share.

From what i've read i am looking forward to Diaspora. Who knows it might be the new social network that everyone will be talking about. Thanks for reading. And follow me on my Twitter @azrulikhwan96.

Hi. I'm new to Tumblr.

Hi there.  This is the first time i’m using tumblr. I’ve used blogspot (ofcourse) www.malaykid.blogspot.com and twitter @azrulikhwan96. From my first impression this is what i thought tumblr is. Basically if blogspot and twitter were to have a baby

I only tried this because of Streeter from CollegeHumour he posted a link to his tumblr on twitter and i checked it out and it was pretty good. Well it’s Also because of a few girls with bieber fever and k-pop fans that are always updating their tumblr.
That’s it from this post. Thanks for reading.

SMOSH- Pokemon

Hey, are you a SMOSH fan?
If you are then you might have watched this video of SMOSH doing the music video parody for the theme song from one of the best cartoon of all time; Pokemon. This video is a couple of years old. And I think I was like 9-10 years old when i first watched this (4-5 year ago) and I absolutely loved it. And now, a couple of years later I still loved that vid. It is one of my favourite SMOSH videos that i've watched. But i think it got removed because of a copyright claim. Yeah! I know! Hell with the copyrights. I'm also a fan of the cartoon and the theme song. The new seasons of the series ain't that great now. I don't really watch it anymore. The first season was the best. If you haven't seen it before then you should check it out. Video BELOW.

Justin Bieber is Harry Potter's Most Formidable Opponent Yet

Hi guys.
So are you a fan of Jimmy Kimmel? I am. Since I don't live in America, I don't get to watch his live talkshow very much but i do sometimes get to watch some parts of his show on Jimmy Kimmel Live Channel on youtube. Recently he talked about the new Harry Potter movie; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and says that the villain in this movie is the most formidable opponent yet. Which actually turns out to be Justin Bieber. Watch

Agents of Secret Stuff- Nigahiga/Ryan Higa, Arden Cho, D-Trix

Recently i've watched the trailer for this new movie produced by youtube stars Ryan Higa and Wong Fu Productions. The official online premiere will take place this coming November 24th, and it can be watched via nigahiga’s Youtube Channel.  They will also hold a special screening premiere on November 23rd at the CGV Cinemas in Los Angeles, so if you’re in the area, be sure to check it out. I've always been a fan of Nigahiga and Wong Fu Productions work but unfortunately I don't live near LA or even America itself so i'll definitely have to see the online premiere.  So i'll be sure to check it out when the online premier will be up. That's it from me from this post. I, The MalayKid thanks you for reading.

Oh be sure to check out the trailer if you still haven't checked it out yet.

So what do you, my readers think i should do? What do you people like the most? Comedy? Something smart? Or just something random.
Tell me leave a comment on this post.

P1 W1MAX Laptops

Hey welcome,
So I've read about the launch of Malaysia's first WiMAX-ready 4G laptops by Intel Malaysia and Packet One Networks Malaysia (P1) and I think it is pretty cool. The aim of launching these laptops is to boost the use of broadband in Malaysia. I think that this is a good idea to reach the aim.

The netbooks and notebooks are manufactured by Acer, Asus, Dell, Lenovo, MSI and Toshiba. With these WiMax-ready laptops users no longer need to be in a WiFi area to stay connected because Intel has added some cool new dual-mode module Intel Centrino Advanced-N+ WiMAX 6250 embedded chip that supports the P1 WiMAX network. Now this a cool feature for me because I do like to take the internet where ever I go and most of the broadband brand right now can't do. Well at least in Malaysia I mean. As an example Celcom Broadband cannot be used unless there are Celcom signal available. And as to the area where I live, I couldn't even get enough signal to log in to my Facebook. So it would be awesome to go anywhere and still get to surf the internet or at least log in to my Facebook and check my status update.

Currently Acer, Lenovo and MSI have listed one model each, while Asus, Dell and Toshiba will list their own models soon. More netbooks and notebooks are expected to be added to the list in the coming months.

Users who purchase the laptops can register for P1 WiMAX 1NSiDE Internet plan, which comes bundled in with the laptops, allowing for almost immediate activation.

Notebook users will get to surf the first six months for free, after which they will be charged RM49 a month. Meanwhile, netbook users get to surf for free up to Sept 30, after which they will also be charged RM49 per month.

RM49 is not a bad price to pay as long as I get to surf the web anywhere I want. I really think this is worth it and I'm thinking of getting one of these new laptops.

The Social Network or Facebook The Movie

So I've seen The Social Network trailer and I think it's going to be a real good movie. For you who doesn't know what it is about i'm going to explain to you what it is about. The Social Network is a story about the founders of Facebook which is a very popular social website directed by David Fincher. The film was written by Aaron Sorkin and adapted from Ben Mezrich's 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal. The film is distributed by Columbia Pictures and is set for an October 1, 2010 release. None of the Facebook staff, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, will be involved with the project. One of the co-founders, Eduardo Saverin, was a consultant for Mezrich's book.

The movie tells the story of what the founders of Facebook: Mark Zuckerberg played by Jesse Eisenberg and Eduardo Saverin played by Andrew Garfield went through to get Facebook up. They got a lot of hits when they just got Facebook up then they were sued and betrayed. I wanna tell more but I don't have the time right now. So I guess this is it

Oh and here is the trailer for the movie. Can't wait for the movie to release.

My Project

So recently my teacher actually gave me a chance to start a profitable project. She gave me a chance to start a business with a budget of RM1000. We haven't actually went through this so we're actually going to try this out and see how it goes. More details would be posted in future post.

Google Wave

Hi guys.
Recently I just got an invite for Google Wave and i gotta say Google Wave is one of the best things that are invented in this decade. Seriously, if you watched the overview video for Google Wave and you think that it's just like normal instant messaging. Well it's not. Ok! Fine it is a little but it's much better than instant messaging. Google Wave is more instant then instant messaging. As the video says it's actually an attempt on answering "What would email be like if it was invented today?" Definitely GW is a head-on answer for this question. You definitely should check out the videos of Google Wave.

This is a 80 min preview. I know it seems long but it's worth watching. This vid actually has more details then the 10minutes vid.

10 min preview.

Update

Hi guys.
Well this month has been a busy month for me. I had a lot of projects, homework, rehearsal for some contests, i had to create a blog for my class, got books to read, and task to finish. That's a lot of things i gotta do this month. So anyways if you just stopped by and read this post. Why don't you comment on it and tell me what i should post about next. Well you know, anything. Do you need help on increasing your utorrent speed? I might post on that later on. You wanna know what is happening in my life? Well I will give you updates. Maybe information of every kind? Yes then you should open a book.

Anyways, do any of you watch nigahiga vids on Youtube. I love his vids. If you never heard of "NigaHiga" then you should try watching some of his videos. His best vids were "The How To Be...." videos. But it was removed from youtube because of copyrights. He included some music that wasn't his. Well so what if it's not his music. He's actually promoting the music. The company should be thankful, not cruel. People would be like "Hey! What's the name of the music in the beginning. I like the song i wanna download it of iTunes." See! isn't that great. You'll make more money in that way. And you don't even have to pay Nigahiga for doing it. I just hate copyrights. This is why war is happening everywhere. Up,Down,Left,Right,Under,Over,In and Out war everywhere. Why can't we live in peace. Like Michael Jackson and the gang says "We Are The World".

Well anyways that's it for this post. Watch nigahiga's videos on youtube ok?

Treasure Isle : The New Facebook Game by Zynga

Treasure Isle
Treasure IsleTreasure Isle is the latest game from Zynga, the game developer behind classic Facebook games like FarmVilleYoVilleCafe World, and Mafia Wars.Released, on April 1st, Treasure Isle is far from an April Fools' prank: this relaxing, fun, and addicting game has the potential to be an instant hit.

Treasure Isle combines a bunch of different Facebook games into one awesome title. However, because of this mixture, this new game may be confusing to some. To help players who are planning on diving into Treasure Isle, we've gathered everything you need to know in order to succeed as a treasure hunter.

The game is loaded with great features, so be sure to check out the many secrets, tips, and tricks. Click the link below to read the guide.

In Treasure Isle you set out set out to become a famous adventurer on a search for treasure. Your quest will take you digging for valuable treasure with your friends across exotic islands full of surprises. You'll earn money, explore strange places, and decorate your very own island as you explore the Treasure Isle world.
Treasure Isle
Treasure Isle borrows ideas from a variety of popular Facebook games, but also introduces features of its own. It takes the treasure hunting mechanic from Treasure Madness, the decorating from Cafe World, the crop growing from FarmVille, and the energy meter from Mafia Wars. However, it's the fusion of all these things that makes Treasure Isle so unique.

Create a Character

The best thing to do first in Treasure Isle is personalize your treasure hunter. To do so, click on your adventurer, choose your gender, then underneath click the Edit button to customize your face and outfit. In the spirit of the island paradise, I decided to rock flip flops, an adventurer's shirt, and a manly mustache. The system is almost identical to FarmVille's character editor so it shouldn't be too complicated.

Treasure Hunting

At the heart of Treasure Isle is the quest for treasure. From your home island, click the boat to open up the travel map. This map shows you your progress on each island. To travel to an island select it.

Once at an island, you can click the dark patches of land to search them for treasure. This requires energy which is shown in a recharging meter at the top of your screen. Depending on nature of the land, you'll need different tools and different amounts of energy. For example, digging in sand or mud requires a shovel and expends 5 energy. Looking under plant or a palm tree requires 7 energy and a machete (which can be purchased for 500 Coins).

Treasure Isle

Clicking a plot of land gives you one experience towards your next level up. As you dig around the island, you'll find coins, fruit, treasure, Island Cash or often nothing at all.

At higher leveled islands you'll also need colored gems to open gates. These gems can be bought in the store, traded with friends, or grown on trees at your home island.

Energy
Energy is precious in Treasure Isle and you'll quickly be looking for any way to get more. Fortunately, there are a few ways to gain energy:
Treasure Isle Energy
The first way is simply by waiting. You receive one point every five minutes; so if you're patient, that is a slow, yet cheap way to regain energy.

Second, you can eat fruit discovered while hunting for treasure out on the islands. I was cutting some brush at Sunny Shores island and discovered a banana, I ate it and received 10 energy.

Third, you can grow and harvest your own fruits at your home island. There are different fruits available that offer various amounts of energy. More on growing crops below.

You can also send and receive fruit from friends. Free gifts are found in most Facebook games and Treasure Isle is no exception. You can send fruit, decorations, and animals to your buddies and ask them to return the favor.

Finally, you can completely recover your energy by buying an energy refill in the store for 10 Island Cash.

Treasure

As you find treasure, it will categorize them into various sets. Once you have collected t set of five you can trade in the treasure for large amounts of Coins. Can't find one pesky treasure in particular? You can add it to your wish list so your friends can help you out. For example, if you happen to have two of the Forest God Tiki Statue treasure, you can send one to a buddy to help their collection. After all, the set is useless unless you have all 5 treasures.

Home Island

Treasure Isle
Hunting for treasure is just a portion of the Treasure Isle experience. You also have a home island that can be expanded, fully decorated, and planted on. To head back to your home island from another island, either click the Return Home button at the bottom left or jump in your boat and click the Home Island button at the top right of the map.

Treasure Isle starts you off with few possessions so its up to you to trade in your treasures for big money and personalize your island with decorations, buildings, and animals.

Farming
As mentioned above, your island allows you to grow crops and trees that will help you out on our adventures, searching for treasures. To plant some seeds, click the empty plot and select a fruit from the window. Come back when the crops are done to collect them. Don't take too long though, or your precious energy yielding fruit will wither.
Treasure Isle Store

Store

The store is the go to place for customizing your island. There are tabs for trees, animals, vehicles, decorations, and for expanding the island. The inventory also includes tools for treasure hunting like valuable energy refills or dynamite that will blast away rocks out in the field. The store is full of goodies so be sure to do some browsing.
Treasure Isle store
Leveling Up
As you make progress, moving from island to island collecting treasure you'll gain experience. Gain enough and you'll level up, unlocking new decorations in the store, new free gifts, and more options. You can also gain experience by visiting your neighbors and helping them with their islands by scaring away seagulls, and other small tasks. Keep gaining experience and leveling up and before long your island will be decked out with the coolest items and animals.
Treasure Isle is shaping up to make quite a splash on Facebook. Here in the office, some are even arguing it could be the FarmVille killer! Don't just take our word for it though. You've learned the basics, now it's your turn to set off on your very own Treasure Isle adventure.

A little more about me.

OK. If you read the introduction post i'm sure you know all the basics about me. Now i'm just gonna tell a little more about me.

OK I was born in Kelantan,Malaysia. My family and I kept moving houses.  From one place to another and another. When i was 6 my family and I moved to Loughborough, England because we were following my dad. He was doing his Masters Degree at Loughborough University. I went to Rendell Primary School for a year. After that I we came back to Malaysia after my dad completed his Masters.

I was about 7 when we went back to Selangor, Malaysia. I went to a school called Sekolah Kebangsaan Puncak Alam. (Puncak Alam Primary School) We stayed for a year and then we went back to England because my dad was doing his Ph.D Degree. We were staying at Birmingham, England. My primary school was Mansfield Green School. My S.A.T. results was great. I got level 5 in all of the subjects. S.A.T. means Scholastic Assessment Test. It's the end of the year test for year 6; it will determine which secondary school you are qualified to go to. My secondary school was Aston Manor. It was a great school. Had a lot of good friends.  I loved it in Birmingham. The air was so fresh. The people were nice and polite. The most important thing is they have respect. Those 5 years was the best. Lot's of intresting, weird, fun, full of life things happened. England changed me. I became good at sports. I was close to my teachers. My friends was the best. We lived a happy life in England. My family and I stayed for 5 years.

Then we had to come back to Malaysia after my dad completed his Ph.D. I never really thought that the day would really come. I was sad to leave. I didn't want to let go of my life. My life was there in England. With my friends. My home even though it was rented. It was really upsetting. I was 13 years old at that time.

So right now i'm in Malaysia. I live in Klang, Selangor, MALAYSIA. I thought that my life would suck here. I thought everything that I would say or do would be wrong. But I was wrong. It was better than I expected. It felt good to be in my own country with my own people. England and Malaysia are different. Theres a lot of differences. But both are good in their own ways. No country is perfect. I went to SK Sungai Binjai (Sungai Binjai School) at first. then I moved to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Meru (Meru High School). I made a lot of new friends. They're not that bad. My life right now is quite stable. I'm really starting to fit in. Well now i'm 14 years old.
